Video 'El gato al Agua' (The Cat to the Water)

This video is the result of an Artist-in-residence at Hangar, Barcelona/Spain.

The video shows a Catalan woman in three different external locations. A park, water, root and one internal black box scene. The lighting is daylight turning into dusk and into the black box scene. She wears a set of colorful clothes. In the different scenes the clothes are reassembled; same fabrics, different clothes. There is an artificial white smudge on her face. This we only see in the roots and park-scene. The locations were we see her in contain a natural element with whom she relates. We hear far away in the back the sound of a whimpering dog, and existing sounds of Barcelona, they are contrasting sounds; harsh versus tingling sounds.
