The photographs (selfies) are titled in capitals. The title states something about my mental or physical condition. For example Kim Engelen, Self-Portraits, 2012, AFTER WATCHING ART.

The text-based part has quotes (exclamations) from people that state their un/rightfully opinion towards me, be it family, good friends, colleagues, Facebook 'friends' and complete strangers.

On my blog, I write about my works. I relate my work to information outside of myself (other artists, texts I have read, documentaries, movies, etc.) and ask myself questions regarding the works and slowly developed my work visually by doing so. For example, questions related to my Self-Portrait series can be: Why these series of multiple pictures? Why don’t I choose one? Every new blog post, I add a text-block. For example:

For now this work is only online and fragmentally visible. There was a booklet in development with series of photographs, caps titles, quotes, accompanied by text written on the "Self", relating from books/text I read during the development of the work.
