Bali Bali Bali No. 1 (Small)
In 1998, while I was still at the art academy I made a trip to Bali (Indonesia). This was my first trip outside of Europe. My family and I made this trip together and unprepared. My dad was depressed, and so was I.
Expectations
What about expectations? Somehow I had expected paradise. The colors in Bali Bali Bali are missing. But maybe having the expectations was nevertheless a good feeling. I have forgotten if I made these 4 paintings beforehand or afterward. What do you think?
