The Happy Birthday Drawings are part of an ongoing art project. Where I make small drawings for people for their birthday. And then send a YouTube video on their birthday.—Where I sing Happy Birthday and show the drawing which I made especially for them.
Would you also like to have a drawing made for you on your Birthday?
Then please email me:

Happy Birthday, Kadir!
This drawing is made on a Nefit Bosch tear-off paper block. The block consisted of forty sheets of paper (when I started the project). And has a postcard size (14,63 x 10,46 cm (5.76 x 4.12 in).
Kadir told me that it was hard for him to reply to the question: What is your birthday wish? Since the wish list would be too long. But he added that martial arts are interesting to him. And that he is practicing Kendo.
He sent a photo of him in a black Kendo gown. Where he is standing outside in the green grass with trees in the back. And a stone path leading outside of the photo.
Kendo and many martial arts often have powerful philosophies. Which can guide the person who practices it. This idea, plus the photo, made me think of the colorful Buddha images. In where Buddha is depicted in a sort of paradise. With blue water, green meadows, and a light beam around his face.
I combined this mental image with the photo I got from Kadir. In the Happy Birthday drawing, he is standing in a sort of lotus flower consisting of flames of fire. As I hope his passion for martial arts will burn powerful.
The beam of light around his face and body, I made with a yellow marker. And snakes come out of the aureole, around his face. The staff of Hermes is a stick entwined by two snakes and surmounted wings. Which is the symbol of modern medicine. To me, therefore, snakes symbolize strength and good health.
I wish for Kardir, passion, and paradise in good health.
